Update on the 2020 Kiwanis Turkey Day Race

On October 8th the decision was made for this year’s Race to be Virtual

General Registration Fees: 5k – $25.00 / 10k – $30.00

All those registered by October 31 will receive a Race T-Shirt.

You can run your Virtual race from Saturday 11/21 & noon Sunday 11/29. All submitted times will be posted.

This is an email message we sent to all our Turkey Day Race Supporters:
Dear Turkey Day Race Supporters:

 

Whether you are a race day participant or a supporting spectator of the Baldwinsville Kiwanis Turkey Day Race, the Baldwinsville Kiwanis Club sincerely thanks you for your continued support. We are contacting you today to ask for your early commitment and registration for this year’s Baldwinsville Kiwanis Turkey Day Race. The proceeds of this annual event, approximately $35,000, goes toward supporting various children’s organizations in the Baldwinsville and Greater Syracuse Area. Due to the COVID-19 virus and the impact it has had on the children in our community, we are seeing an increased need to support the organizations that depend on our donations today! In fact, that’s why we are asking for your support and commitment early.

 

It is our full intention to hold the 52nd Annual Baldwinsville Kiwanis Turkey Day race live this year on Thanksgiving morning at C.W. Baker High School. In the event that circumstances prohibit the race from going off as planned, we will transition to a virtual platform.  Again, we thank you for your support and loyalty. I assure you, it is appreciated and realized by the children of our great community.

 

Early Registration Period: August 1 – August 15

 

Early Registration Special Entry Fees: 5k – $20 / 10K – $25

 

If you are unable to support or participate in our 2020 race, please consider donating to our Club. Your donations will allow us to continue our mission of Serving Children in CNY during this difficult period.

2018 Turkey Day Race Food Collection Results

March 8, 2019
The Turkey Day Race Food Drive was a huge success thanks to you.  Over 2000 runners, walkers and volunteers collected:
589 grocery bags of adult food donated to the Bville food pantry, PEACE and the VFW.
270 grocery bags of food were donated to the backpack program via the Rotary Club.
TOTAL:  859 grocery bags of food, estimated at a value of $42,950.
THANK YOU to all the runners, walkers and everyone who participated and made Thanksgiving a day to remember for those less fortunate.

50th Annual Turkey Day Race

Grab your family, lace up your shoes and be a part of the running of the 50th Annual Turkey Day Race, Thursday, November 22nd.  Work off any of the Thanksgiving Day calories before you eat all that pumpkin pie!

REGISTER ONLINE TODAY!  

½ MILE KIDS FUN RUN Starts at 8:30 a.m.
10K RACE Starts at 9:00 a.m.
5K RACE Starts at 9:15 a.m.

Both 5k & 10k finishers will receive a Special Finisher Medal.

We’re welcoming St. Augustine’s and St. Mary’s schools to The 50th Annual Turkey Day Race as we kick off our first ever food drive to help children in our area. Please bring any of the items below and we’ll make sure it goes to a child in need in Onondaga County.
